The idea to found this society belongs to my mentors, prominent international personalities from the research field regarding clinical and experimental research of laser use in medicine and dental medicine, who were of great help, being true teachers, parents and colleagues throughout this entire period: Prof. Dr. Martin van Gemert, Prof. Dr. Lynn Powell, Prof. Dr. Norbert Gutknecht, Prof. Carlos de Paula Eduardo, Prof. Paul Bradley and last, but not least, Prof. Dr. Andreas Moritz.

Significant is the fact that the members of this society consist of teaching personnel from diverse university centers, but also doctors with private practices. This society may be considered as very young, not only by the year of foundation, but also by the mean age of its members (around 35 years).

Although it is a young society, it is well known among international societies such as WFLD (World Federation for Lasers in Dentistry), SOLA (International Society for Oral Laser Applications), ALD (Academy of Laser Dentistry), DGL (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Laserzahnheilkunde), ASLMS (American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery), WALT (World Association for Laser Therapy).

• members-partners – those who subsequently associate Creation and moral and material help in expanding the association’s assets;
• Honorary – natural and legal persons who have made outstanding service and bring the association or a strong support from a financial perspective;
• Supporting Members – who join the association and to a material and moral support to achieve its object.

Membru cotizant poate fi orice persoana fizica, fara discriminare, care îsi achita cotizatia, este de acord cu Statutul Asociatiei.
Membru de onoare poate fi orice persoana fizica sau juridica care a adus servicii deosebite în sprijinirea laserilor în medicina dentara, proclamat ca atare prin hotarârea Adunarii generale.

Entry fee is the equivalent in lei of the amount of 10 euros.
Annual subscriptions of members of the association is the equivalent in lei of the amount of 25 euros. The amount of dues may be amended only by the General Assembly the decision, taken by a majority vote of members.
Persons definitively convicted for violation of criminal law can not hold management positions in the association. The criminal investigation phase, the officers will be suspended from office management.
Member who withdraws or is excluded has no right over assets of the association.

Membership is lost by:
• withdrawal of the association, on request;
• exclusion, approved by the General Assembly of the association.
Associates is authorized to get the association provided to communicate the decision to the Governing Board at least 6 months before.
Founding member or member, guilty of violating the Statute or other serious offenses punished by the criminal law, be excluded from the association by the General Assembly the decision, taken by a majority vote of members.

• to select and be elected in the leadership of the association;
• to attend general meetings of the association;
• to – and speak freely right to vote and views in general meetings of the association;
• to participate in all scientific events organized by the association, to use all facilities of the association and benefit from the facilities offered to association members

Honorary members may participate in the debates, without voting rights and they can benefit from the facilities offered by the association.

Members of the association have the following duties:

• to respect unreservedly Statute, Rules of the Association and the Board Director of the association;
• to – and pay membership fees;
• to attend general meetings of the association.
